Intense Clashes erupted in Lal Chowk area of Islamabad township in South Kashmir on Monday as hundreds of youth hit the streets.
The youth were demanding the special status of Kashmir to be safeguarded, when some youth started throwing stones on Forces deployed in the area.
The Police in retaliation fired tear smoke shells upon the people and fired aerial shots, as per eyewitnesses, to disperse the protesters.
meanwhile massive clashes were going on when this report was filed.
