Jammu Kashmir, 227 people including 40 CRPF personnel have been found infected with Covid-19 on Saturday.
With these new cases, the number of infected in the union territory has reached 8,246, while a total of 8 people have died due to infection.
The number of people who lost their lives due to Corona has now reached 127. Most of the new corona cases reported in Jammu Kashmir, most of them are related to the Kashmir Valley.
According to officials, all the 8 people who died in the last 24 hours in Kashmir are from Kashmir. So far 127 people have died due to covid-19 in the Union Territory.
Of the total deaths, 14 occurred in Jammu and 113 in the Kashmir region. Meanwhile, 227 new cases of covid-19 were detected in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
Of these, 30 have emerged from Jammu region, while 197 have emerged from the valley. The new cases also include 40 personnel from various CRPF battalions of the Valley.
5143 patients taken so far
The number of patients treated in the Union Territory is now 2,976, while a total of 5,143 patients have recovered from the infection. The report on Saturday evening has not revealed any new cases in five districts – Ganderbal, Kathua, Ramban, Reasi and Kishtwar in the last 24 hours.
6524 cases from Kashmir valley
With the new cases of infection on Saturday, the total number of cases in Jammu Kashmir has increased to 8,246. Officials said that out of these 6,524 cases have come in Kashmir, while 1,722 cases have come in Jammu region.
