A 42-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her residence in Kulgam district of south Kashmir.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Friday morning, a woman (name withheld) was found lying unconscious at her home in the Bathpora area of Damhal Hanjipora belt of Kulgam.
He said the 42-year-old woman was rushed to the nearby hospital, where she was declared dead.
Though the cause of the death is not known, the official said that the woman died of consuming poison.
Police have registered a case in this regard and launched further investigation.
