In yet another incident of growing hate against Muslims, a Muslim man died after he was tortured by Police in Haryana’s Panipat district.
Reports said that Ayub Khan aged 50 died on Tuesday evening after he was tortured at Quila police station in Haryana’s Panipat district.
The report further added that three men including the Assistant Sub Inspector Dharamvir have been arrested in this connection and a murder case has been registered against them.
The District Superintendent of Police Shashank Kumar Sawan said that on Tuesday evening that the preliminary investigation showed that Ayub Khan died in police custody after he was tortured by Dharamvir.
He said that there were injuries on Khan’s body, adding that the police were waiting for a postmortem report.
The deceased was a distant relative of a man who allegedly kidnapped a 22-year-old woman for marriage.
On Tuesday, ASI Dharamvir brought Ayub to enquire about Irshad’s whereabouts. Ayub’s family alleged ASI Dharamvir, along with Sumit and Sunil, woman’s relatives, tortured him after which he died in the evening.
