A Muslim man, named Majid Ali was beaten to death in Madaniya village of Meja Police Station Area in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh.
It has come to the fore that Majid Ali objected to his daughter’s molestation by three youths, who were identified as Madhav Nishad, Kallu and Golu.
On Sunday, Ali’s daughter Sadiya, went to a mango orchard, nearby. The youths mentioned above passed comments on Sadiya and caught her hand, forcefully. Sadiya managed to escape from their grip, somehow. She returned home and told Majid Ali about the incident.
After which, Ali took his son along and went to one of the youths’ house. On reaching, both of them were assaulted by the three and 5 more.
Ali, somehow, managed to escape and reached home. But on reaching the door, he collapsed, which further resulted in him passing away.
Apparently, a case has been lodged against 8 people, three of whom are women. These three women happen to be the mothers of the three accused harassers.
So far, the three have been arrested by the police.
The police has also said that further action will be taken on the basis of the post-mortem report.
