A 55-year-old man lodged at Anantnag’s District jail since January this year died on Saturday.
An official confirming the death to The Kashmiriyat said that Mushtaq Ahmed Khan son of Abdul Ahad Khan aged 55 yrs died at the Government Medical College of the Anantnag district.
He said that Mushtaq was reportedly under treatment at GMC for the last two days due to various ailments.
Mushtaq has been arrested in case FIR No. 08/2021 of P/S Ang. U/S 8/20 of NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act & was on judicial custody in the District jail of Anantnag.
Mushtaq was an Auto driver by profession.
