Seven people died while at least two dozen were injured in a landslide in Siyad Baba area of Reasi in Jammu Kashmir on Sunday.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the area located on the banks of River Chenab witnessed a large crowds on Sunday as people had gathered for picnic.
The landslide struck the area around 2:30 pm when many people were taking a bath near a small stream.
As per initial reports the Government Forces have initiated massive rescue operations as many are believed to be trapped in the landslide.
The Injured, meanwhile have been shifted to the hospital for treatment.
