Two Militants have been killed in an encounter with government forces in Khanmoh area of Pampore in Pulwama district in South Kashmir on Saturday afternoon.
An official said that the operation is being jointly conducted by a team of 50 RR, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF.
An officer confirmed that the exchange of gunfire has erupted after militants attacked a party of upon the searching party of forces in the area.
In the initial exchange of fire, three SOG men were injured.
Earlier CASO was launched in the area after receiving inputs of militants presence in the area.
In the ensuing gunfight, two unidentified Militants have been killed.
A Search operation is underway to retrieve the bodies of the slain Militants.
