We The Kashmir Foundation, a well-known non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to social welfare, organized two mega Iftar gatherings at orphanages in south Kashmir, bringing joy and warmth to orphaned children during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Iftar gatherings were held at Bostani Banat girls Orphanage in Pazalpora, Bijbehara, and the boys Orphanage in Vessu, Qazigund. The members of We The Kashmir Foundation personally contributed to arranging a variety of food items, ensuring that the children and their caretakers were served a wholesome meal to break their fast.
What made the event even more special was that the members of We The Kashmir Foundation not only organized the Iftar but also shared the meal with the children.
The female members of the organization broke their fast with the girls at the Bijbehara orphanage, while the male members joined the boys at Vessu, creating an atmosphere of togetherness and compassion.
Speaking on the occasion, the members of We The Kashmir Foundation urged people to come forward and support orphans and underprivileged communities, especially during Ramadan.
They emphasized the importance of extending a helping hand ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, ensuring that every child, regardless of their circumstances, gets to celebrate the festival with joy and dignity.
Reaffirming their commitment to social welfare, the members of We The Kashmir Foundation stated that their organization will continue working for the well-being of orphans and the downtrodden, striving to bring hope and happiness into their lives.
They also called upon society to contribute in any way possible, whether through donations, volunteering, or simply by spreading awareness about the needs of orphaned and underprivileged children.
