
As the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Qadr approaches, the valley of Kashmir is abuzz with preparations to ensure a memorable and meaningful celebration for the devotees.
Shab-e-Qadr, is regarded as a night of mercy and forgiveness, where Muslims seek pardon for their sins and offer prayers for the deceased. The occasion holds great spiritual importance, and the valley is gearing up to observe this sacred night with humility and devotion.
Massive crowds are expected to throng Khanqahs and mosques throughout the valley for the night-long prayers.
In Srinagar, the largest gatherings are expected at Jama Masjid Nowhatta, Dastgeer Sahib Shrine, and Hazratbal Shrine, where special prayers and sermons will be delivered.
In Shopian, devotees will gather in large numbers at Jamia Masjid Shopian and Pinjoora Mosque to offer prayers and participate in supplication sessions.
In Pulwama, Jamia Masjid Pulwama and Khanqah-e-Faiz Panah will witness significant congregations, with religious leaders delivering sermons on the virtues of Shab-e-Qadr.
In Kulgam, spiritual gatherings will be held at Czimmer Sharif and the main town mosque, where devotees will engage in collective prayers and repentance.
In Anantnag, the largest gatherings are expected at Jamia Masjid Anantnag, Kabamarg, and Khiram Khanqah, known for their traditional observance of the night of forgiveness.
In Ganderbal, Qamaria Masjid and Baba Haniefuddin Shrine will host the largest gatherings, with sermons focusing on the significance of Shab-e-Qadr and its spiritual importance.
In Baramulla, congregations will be held at Jamia Masjid Sopore, Jamia Masjid Baramulla, and Janbaz Sahab Wali’s Mosque, where people will engage in prayers and seek forgiveness.
In Budgam, Imambara Budgam and the Shrine of Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Noorani at Charar-e-Sharif are expected to witness large gatherings as people come together for prayers and repentance.
In Kupwara, the main congregation will be held at Jamia Masjid Kupwara, continuing the tradition of observing Shab-e-Qadr with devotion and respect.
