The Meteorological Department has issued a fresh weather advisory for the Kashmir region, forecasting a brief spell of light rain and thundershowers accompanied by thunder and gusty winds in the next one to two hours.
According to the department, areas likely to be affected include Uri, Gulmarg, Tangmarg, Srinagar, Bandipora, parts of Banihal, Dal Lake, and adjoining localities.
In view of the expected weather, officials have urged the public to temporarily suspend Shikara rides and boating activities in and around Dal Lake and other water bodies until conditions improve.
