Educational institutes in Jammu Kashmir to remain closed on Friday

Amid the prevailing situation, authorities on Wednesday said that the classwork in all private and government schools up to 12th standard shall remain suspended across Jammu Kashmir.

Speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Minister of Education, Sakina Itoo said, “Keeping in view the safety of students, class work in schools up to 12th standard shall remain suspended on Friday.”

Meanwhile, the University of Kashmir and Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) have also suspended the classwork for Friday.

Registrar of KU said, “We have decided to suspend the classwork for Friday. If there are any other changes, we will notify the students accordingly.”—(KNO)
