Father-son duo dead in road accident in Baramulla

A road accident in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday claimed the lives of a father and son after their vehicle collided with a dumper.

Officials said the accident took place when a dumper vehicle rammed into a load carrier (JK05N-7924) in the Rajarwani area of Uri, leaving two occupants of the load carrier dead on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Lateef Ahmad Ganie and his son Faizan Ahmad Ganie, both residents of Garkote.

Police reached the spot soon after the accident and have taken cognizance of the case.

Eyewitnesses said the collision was so severe that the victims had no chance of survival. [KNT]
