Attacks on Kashmiris Increase in Parts of India, Asked to Leave Bihar Within 24 Hours

Post the Thursday attack on CRPF, which caused the death of 50 CRPF troopers, anguish and anger is being witnessed in parts of India.

This anger has resulted in attacks and threats against Kashmiris residing in various parts of India.

A group of people Friday afternoon attacked Kashmiris at Lhasa market on Buddha road in Patna, Bihar and vandalized their shops.

A video of the incident has went viral over social networking in which a group of locals can be seen warning Kashmiris to leave Bihar within 24 Hours.

The group also thrashed a Kashmiri shopper and scattered goods in the shops on streets.

They also vandalized the board reading “Kashmir Mela.”

A group of Students were also thrashed by a group of students in a Dehradun college and warned to leave the place immediately.

Similarly in a video that has surfaced on the internet from Malana area in Punjab have been asked to leave within 24 Hours.

“We ask all the locals to force Kashmiris living in their houses to leave the place within 24 hours,” the person in the video is heard warning.

Meanwhile Police in Dehradun and Punjab have assured Kashmiris of full cooperation in the states and said Police will ensure safety of Kashmiris living there.

A Curfew has been imposed in Jammu areas to thwart any kind of violence.

Jammu, on Friday witnessed violence as dozens of Kashmiri vehicles were torched in the area.

Four Kashmiri student were also allegedly beaten in Raipur Chhattisgarh on Wednesday evening.

Reports said that four students hailing from Bandipora district of north Kashmir were allegedly thrashed by a mob of 30-40 people in Raipur area of Chhattisgarh last night.
