Pakistan Did not Release the Captured Indian Pilot Under Any Pressure

March 02

Rejecting the claims of various Indian Politicians and Media, the Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Saturday said that captured Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman was not released under any pressure.

Talking to BBC Urdu, the minister further said that Pakistan intends to move against extremist elements and it would not allow non-state actors to put the regional peace at stake.

He rejected the impression that there was any kind of pressure that could have forced Islamabad to release the detained pilot of Indian Air Force.

“We wanted to convey them the message that We don’t want to add to your pain, we don’t want to mistreatment of your citizens. We Want peace,” said he.

The foreign minister said Pakistan would take action if it is provided with evidence against Jaish-e- Muhamamd.
