Government forces and militants exchanged gunfire in Kalantara area of Kandi in Baramulla district on Wednesday.
“The militants and forces exchanged gunfire for a brief time and there was a lull afterwards,” sources in Police said. .
According to officials forces have sealed the area are conducting searches in the area to trace out the militants.
They said that the operation is being jointly conducted by J&K Police, 29RR of Army.
