“In Jammu the condition of the Muslims is unacceptable and the minorities like Gujar Bakarwal are more vulnerable. Communal forces are crushing the rights of these minorities in the area. They are subjugating them, making false cases against their children, then there was Aasifa’s tragedic episode in the region and during that time the role of Mehbooba Mufti as a chief minister was outstanding. From one side there were communal forces and some political parties were also in support of them but she took a stand against the culprits and right now they are in jails,” he said.

Added that apart from it she also takes stand on forest right act in the region. “Lal Singh a member of Bhartiya Janta Party BJP had tried to crush the rights of the Muslims in the area and she takes a strict stand against him and removed him from the government.” (The Kashmir Walla)
