Two Militants Killed in Brief Exchange of Gunfire in North Kashmir

Two unidentified Militants have been killed when they were intercepted by Indian Army’s 32 RR at Watergam area of Sopore in Baramulla  district of North Kashmir.

Sources informed The Kashmiriyat that the Militants opened fire on a party of Indian Army when they were intercepted by them near the Sopore’s Wategam area, to which the Army responded.

In the retaliatory fire, two Militants, unidentified, was killed, however no dead body has been recovered from the site, they said.

A massive search operation has been launched in the area as more Militants are believed to have escaped from the spot of initial contact between Militants and Government Forces.

As per Locals, the firing has stopped, however a search operation is underway and more forces are being called to the spot.

Meanwhile a Police official upon being contacted by The Kashmiriyat confirmed the exchange of fire adding that they are ascertaining the details of the incident.
