The District administration in Islamabad (Anantnag) district of South Kashmir has ordered the closure of all schools in the district on Monday in view of the elections that are scheduled for Tuesday.
Chief Education Officer, Abdul Rabb Shad speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that all educational institutes upto class 12th will remain shut tomorrow.
715 Polling stations have been set up for 529256 electors including 269603 males, 257540 females, 2102 service electors (2091 male and 11 female) and 11 transgender voters.
In an order issued by the District admin, it has said that in view of Lok Sabha election scheduled for the district on Tuesday, all schools in the district will remain closed tomorrow.
