Two Militants have been killed in the exchange of gunfire between militants and Government forces at Suimoh area in Tral belt of Kashmir’s Pulwama District.
A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that a team of 42 RR, CRPFs 180 Battalion and SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police was fired upon by Militants in the Suimoh area, during a cordon and Search operation, after which the Army retaliated to the firing.
After the initial exchange of gunfire, one of the two Militants was killed
They said that initially one militant was killed in the exchange of gunfire, after which the Forces launched a search operation to trace another hiding Militant. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that the firing started around 5:30 AM.
Later, another Militant hiding nearby was killed, during the combing operation, A Police official said, adding, “Two Rifles, one pistol and a hand grenade has been recovered from the spot.”
The Army in its statement said that the Militant was trying to infiltrate into India, A house has also been damaged, during the exchange of gunfire.
