At least 125 Government Force Personnel Killed Since 2017

The year 2017 which was one of the bloodiest year since 2010 witnessed 284 causalities which included 93 Government Force personnel.

The List included 52 Army soldiers, 33 Jammu Kashmir Policemen, 05 CRPF personnel, 02 BSF men and one security man from Sahastra Seema Bal.

Even though the Indian Government claimed to have conducted Cross Border Surgical Strikes, but the stats prove that there has been no real change since the strikes were carried out.

Excluding the killings along the Line of Control that divides Kashmir between India and Pakistan, 34 troopers have been killed this year during Anti Militancy Operations.

The year started with a Fidayeen attack on District Police Lines in Pulwama area of South Kashmir when 08 Government Force personnel were killed.

On February 10, Militants stormed into Sunjwan Army base in Jammu killing 04 Government Forces, the attack was claimed by Jaish e Muhammad.

On 22 March, lashkar e Taiba Militants in a gunfight that erupted in Halmatpora area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara District killed five Government Force Personnel.

On April 01, in three separate encounter, four troopers of Government Forces were killed in South Kashmir.

On 24 April, in an encounter with Militants at Tral, two government force personnel were killed.

On 22 June, 01 trooper was killed in an encounter at Sirigufwara Islamabad in South Kashmir.

in 2018, 105 Militants and at least 60 civilians have been killed so far.

The above mentioned stats do not include the killings of policemen or Army men who were killed during shootouts or after being kidnapped.
