450 Educational Institutes Converted into Quarantine Centres in Kashmir- Highest in Anantnag

The administration in Jammu Kashmir has converted at least 450 educational institutes in the Kashmir valley as quarantine centres.

The Kashmiriyat has found that at least 450 Government schools, colleges, High and Middle schools have been transited into quarantine facilities by the Administration under the Lieutenant Governor.

The list includes 400 middle, high and Higher secondary schools and the remaining 50 are government Degree colleges.

7 Government Colleges and 155 Government Schools have been converted into Quarantine centres in Anantnag which tops the list.

Shopian District has two private schools, One Hostel, two degree colleges turned into makeshift quarantine centres in Shopian.

In South Kashmir’s Kulgam District, four colleges and hundred schools are serving as quarantine centres amid the massive outbreak of covid 19.

Pulwama district as of now has four government, seven private schools, and four degree colleges serving as quarantine centres.

Similarly in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district, , 6 Degree colleges and 45 government schools are serving as quarantine facilities.

A Sainik School and two degree colleges in the Ganderbal district have been converted into makeshift quarantine centres.

In Srinagar, however school have been left off and  ten degree colleges are serving as quarantine centres.

North Kashmir has around, 101 educational institutes have been converted into quarantine centres.

In Baramulla, no government school have been converted into a quarantine centre however, Three private schools , seven degree colleges are currently serving as makeshift quarantine centres.

In frontier, Kupwara district, 67 government schools have been turned into quarantine centres while as 5 government degree colleges are serving as quarantine centres.

In Bandipora district, 5  government schools, 9 private schools, and 5 degree colleges are serving as quarantine centres.
