The killing of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leader and his family members in Bandipora area of north Kashmir by suspected Militants has sent shock-waves across the country.
Terming this incident as an act of cowardice, BJP leaders want Militants behind this act to be identified and punished.
The Jammu Kashmir Police said they have arrested 10 of its personnel assigned to the security of Bari and his family, for failing to protect them, Police said the personal security officers were not present with them when the attack happened.
Expressing condolence to grief-stricken family members, state BJP president, Ravinder Raina, reiterated that they will neither forgive nor forget supreme sacrifice of Wasim Bari.
“Wasim Bari was a brave son of India. He was true patriot, who always worked for strengthening nationalism in Kashmir.He was a tiger of our party. His killers will not be spared,” said Ravinder Raina.
“Killing of our prominent leader and his family members in North Kashmir only shows desperation on part of Pakistan to destabilise peace in Kashmir,’’ added Raina.
Raina described the killing of Bari as a huge loss to the party. He assured bereaved family members of all kind of support from their side. “The entire party stands with Wasim’s family. I assure that their sacrifice will not go in vain,’’ said Raina.
