A residential house and around twenty shops were damaged in a landslide in Kangan tehsil of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday.
The SDM of the area in conversation with The Kashmiriyat said that on Friday noon, a major landslide occurred on at Bunibagh area of Kangan on the Srinagar-Leh highway, causing damage to several public constructions.
The landslide also blocked the main road and the clearance work is in progress, he told The Kashmiriyat.
Locals meanwhile said that the damaged house belongs to Ghulam Hassan Mir, a son of Ghulam Muhammad Mir of Banibagh area of Kangan.
