An encounter has raged between militants and Government forces at at Ranbir Garh of Panzinara in the outskirts of Srinagar District on Saturday morning.
A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that on Saturday morning CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant movement in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area.
All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed by the Forces.
The Militants had earlier attacked a party of CRPF in the area, after which the forces laid a cordon and search operation in the area, Sources said.
As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat two to three militants were trapped in the area, Sources said that a massive exchange of fire is being heard at the site of the encounter.
