Stay Away from Encounter Sites-Army Tells Kashmiri Youth

July 14

General AK Bhatt of Indian Army on Saturday urged Kashmiri youths to desist from stone-pelting on Government Force personnel in the Valley.

Bhatt said that the residents and the young minds, residing in Jammu Kashmir, must also keep themselves away from the area where the army is carrying out the operations.

“It is my appeal to public and youths not to pelt stones on Army and also keep themselves away from spots where Army conducts its operations. We are not upset with public and youths of Kashmir because they are one of us. It’s our duty to serve them”, said Lt. General AK Bhatt.

The statement from the Bhatt came just a day after one of the security personnel succumbed to his injuries after getting attacked during the fierce operation at Menganwar in Kandi forests of Kupwara district on July 11.
