A 25-year-old youth was killed, another injured in a road accident in Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday morning.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that the deceased, Mukhtar Ahmad Hajam, son of Abdul Khaliq Hajam, a resident of Goripora area of Pulwama, was traveling on Vespa scooter bearing registration number JK02AS 3545 when the scooter collided with a four wheeler, killing one person on the spot.
The accident occurred on the Srinagar-Jammu highway near Chersoo area of Awantipora.
The Jammu Kashmir Police has lodged an FIR into the case, the official said.
