Inhabitants of Palpora Ara Koshipora and Damhaal area in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday alleged that the Jal Shakti Department (Public Health Engineering PHE) has failed to provide adequate water supply to them.
The residents accused the department of ignoring their constant plights as unscheduled water supply is being provided in the area.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat locals said that “Our area has been suffering with the water crisis since a long time, we have approached the concerned authorities, but all in vain and nobody is paying heed to our sufferings,”
The locals have appealed to the higher authorities to look into the matter, otherwise they will be forced to come out on the streets.
The Kashmiriyat appraised the issue with ExEn Jal Shakhti Anantnag Mohammed Siraj Shah who assured that they look into the matter and the grievance of the locals will be addressed soon.
