A woman sustained injuries after a wild bear attacked her while she was working in her fields at Arin village of Bandipora district on Wednesday.
The injured has been identified as Sara Begum (36), wife of Muhammad Abdullah.
A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that the woman, raised alarm, as soon as she was attacked by a bear, several locals rushed to help her and rescued her away from the spot.
He said that she was shifted to District Hospital Bandipora and has sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment.
