Suspected Militants shoot dead BJP sarpanch, Sajad Ahmad Khanday.
The sarpanch was shot by suspected militants outside his residence at Vessu village of Qazigund area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Sajad was rushed to the hospital, GMC Anantnag but the medical Superintendent, Mohammad Iqbal Sofi declared him brought dead.
Pertinently, the attacks on Panchs and Sarpanchs have increased in the valley.
This is the second attack in two days, earlier Arif Ahmad, a Panch of Qazigund was critically injured in one such attack.
