Heavy rains since early morning of Wednesday triggered flash floods in Nilla Najwan area of Kangan in Ganderbal district.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that due to a cloudburst following by torrential rains caused flash floods in a tributary due to which agricultural fields and crops have suffered massive damage and also the link road got blocked in the said area.
An official said that a flash flood triggered by heavy rains occurred in a Stream passing through the village.
However there was no loss of life or property, he said.
A team of Revenue department , Police and irrigation and flood control department rushed to the spot to monitor the situation.
