12.5 Lakh Domicile Certificates Issued so far in Jammu Kashmir- Admin

The Jammu Kashmir administration on Tuesday said that 12.5 lakh domicile certificates have been issued so far, with over 99 percent being erstwhile PRC holders.

Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, yje Principal Secretary Power Development Department and Information Department, Rohit Kansal said that the process of issuance of Domicile Certificates is picking up rapidly and certificate issuance is being monitored regularly.

He was flanked by Principal Secretary and Financial Commissioner Revenue, Dr Pawan Kotwal and Director Information and Public Relations, Syed Sehrish Asgar.

“Nearly 12.5 lakh Domicile Certificates have been issued so far in Jammu Kashmir of which 99 per cent have been issued to the erstwhile PRCs or including Kashmiri Pandit migrants.”

He added that so far 11398 West Pakistan Refugees, 415 from Valmiki community, 10 Gorkha community members and 12340 Registered Migrants have been issued Domicile Certificates.
