The Jammu Kashmir administration on Sunday appointed Uttar Pradesh-cadre IAS officer Nitishwar Kumar, as principal secretary to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, an official spokesperson said.
According to the spokesperson, the 1996-batch UP-cadre IAS officer Niteshwar Kumar will be appointed Principal Secretary to L-G, J&K. Kumar had worked as a Private Secretary to L-G Manoj Sinha when he was Union Minister in the BJP-led Central government. The orders will be issued shortly.
According to an order, “The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Department of Personnel and Training (AIS Division) for Inter Cadre deputation of Shri Nitishwar Kumar, IAS (UP: 1996) from Uttar Pradesh to Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for a period of one year, in relaxation of policy”.
Kumar replaced Bipul Pathak, a 1992-batch IAS officer of the Jammu and Kashmir cadre, who has been posted as principal secretary, Information Technology Department, the spokesperson said.
The following transfers and postings are hereby ordered with immediate effect. Meanwhile a copy of the notification has been sent to all relevant authorities.
