SHG Engineers Arrested in Srinagar for Protesting Against Govt’s Order Of Abolishing Reservation

Several Self Help Group (SHG) engineers, who were protesting at Srinagar’s civil secretariat, have been arrested on Monday.

The SHG scheme was launched by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) government in 2003. The engineers have been protesting against the government’s order of abolishing 30% reservation in construction and upgradation of infrastructure work in various government departments and corporations.
