PDL & TDL electrical employees working in the power department protested in Anantnag for their legitimate demands and said to The Kashmiriyat, “our department may have been paralyzed due to electric shock to dozens of casual laborers but till date no steps have been taken for their regularization.”
On the other hand, although a formal SRO was issued by the department in May 2019 regarding the tenure of casual and daily wagers, it has not been implemented yet.
They told The Kahmiriyat that if their demands are not fulfilled, they will take to the streets for protests, and the governor’s administration will be responsible for it.
