Dilapidated link road connecting Reshi Bazar to Shirpura South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district has irked the commuters and the pedestrians as the authorities have failed to macadamize the roads despite assurances.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, Mohammad Omar, a local, said that the poor condition of the road is only due to official apathy.
The local people are facing a lot of problems and inconvenience. The road has not been macadamized from the past 2 years; it has developed cracks and potholes.
The locals are appealing the administration to repair the road and macadamize it so that the people will not suffer anymore.
Upon contacting the R&B department, the officials there said that the macadamization process was put on hold due to the interference of PDD department. The PDD department was laying wires and thus the work had to be postponement.
