After the recent uprising in Azerbaijan, 26 more separatists lost their lives to the clashes with the troops and Nagorno-Karabakh region rebels according to the defence ministry, where the military death toll reached to 84.
According to the reports the fresh number is of civilian killings mounted to 11, nine from Azerbaijan and two from Armenina on Tuesday, bringing total death toll to 95.
The Nagorno-Karabakh leader said “This is a life-and-death war.”
All leaders across the globe have requested to stop the fightings as this has been one of the worst escalation since 2016 raised the spectre of a fresh war between the ex-Soviet rivals Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The UN Security Council decide to hold an emergency talks behind the closed door after France and Germany led a push for the issue to be placed on the agenda.
“Fierce clashes continued throughout the day on Monday”, said the Baku and Yerevan officials.
On Monday evening, Azerbaijani forces launched a “massive offensive at the Karabakh front line’s southern and northeastern sectors,” said Armenia’s Ministry of Defense spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan.
“Twenty-six servicemen of Karabakh’s Defence Army died in action”, the Karabakh’s defence ministry said in a statement.
President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev said that, he was confident of regaining control over the region.
He even declared martial law amid protests in Azerbaijan and violent clashes from other parts.
Keeping in view the current situations many countries made efforts for aids and also released statements in supports of the countries.
Turkish President, Tayyip Erdogan urged world to come and stand with the country in it’s battle against invasion and cruelty.
Russia has called for ceasefire and peace talks to stabilize the situation.
UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, said he was “extremely concerned” and called for both sides to stop fighting. France, which has a large Armenian community, called for an immediate ceasefire and dialogue
Iran, which shares borders with Azerbaijan and Armenia, offered to broker peace talk, but later blocked all websites of Azerbaijan and channels from which South Azerbaijani’s would get their information on what is happening in Azerbaijan because, the Iranian provinces of East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan and Ardabil are all ethnically Azeri with Kurdish and Ardabil, Farsi minorities.
President Donald Trump said the US was seeking to stop the violence.
Pakistan wrote to the foreign ministry, with their strong anti – Armenian stance, supported Azerbaijan and will extend all support that is required.
