Two Militants have been killed in the ongoing encounter broke out between militants and Government forces in Barzulla area in Srinagar district on Monday morning.
Earlier, An official told The Kashmiriyat that a joint team of CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police launched a cordon and search operation on tip off about the movement of militants in this Srinagar area.
He said that as the joint teams of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
During the exchange of gunfire, two Militants have been killed, who are yet to be identified, “One of the Militants trapped at the site of the encounter is Saifullah, a wanted Militant commander,” the Inspector General of Police said while speaking to the media.
The Government Forces are still conducting searches at the site of the encounter, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.
