The members of Traders Federation Sopore staged a protest against the government programme ‘My Pride, My Town’ at Dakbanglow area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The protesting members said that they were invited, but unfortunately were not allowed to enter the Dakhunglow to meet the Director General of Social Welfare, Tariq Ali.
They said that the officials restricted their entry following which they decided to stage a protest against the programme.
Hashimi Talluh Qazi, one of the protesters said that Sopore residents are facing immense hardships in every aspect and now the programme has been started to befool the people. He also termed this initiative ‘a flop’. (Kashmir News Observer)
