The Islamabad (Anantnag) township of South Kashmir is wearing a deserted look with CRPF and Policemen patrolling almost every street on Friday.
Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that barbered wires have been places at the entry and exit points of the Islamabad (Anantnag) township restricting the movement of public to a heavy extent.
Meanwhile a complete shutdown is being observed in the township and Quimoh belt of Kulgam,. “The prayers in Jamia Masjid Islamabad were restricted as only older people were allowed to enter inside,” An eyewitness told The Kashmiriyat.
Meanwhile clashes erupted at a few places including Moominabad, Dialgam where scores of youth threw stones on troops deployed in the area.
The Township is observing a shutdown for the third consecutive day against the killing of two Militant on Wednesday in the Kotwal Gali area of the main town in Islamabad (Anantnag).
Hundreds of people are visiting the house of Slain Bilal Ahmed for the third consecutive day to express their sympathies with the family of the slain Militant.
Meanwhile Mobile internet services have been barred in the Islamabad (Anantnag) district since Wednesday.
