The inhabitants of Gund hassi bhat Srinagar and Sozait are up in arms against the administration for failing to macadamize their dilapidated roads.
Demanding the road macadamization to their area, locals told The Kasshmiriyat that for the past five years conditions of the linked road is dilapidated and need to be macadamized as early as possible.
They alleged that a drain was constructed five years ago in the area, but soon after the whole Gund hassi bhat and Sozait area had been neglected by concerned authorities for the years.
Javaid Ahmad Najar a local from Ahangar mohalla gund hassi bhat told The Kashmiriyat they are unable to secure their vehicles due to the worst roads in the area.
Now as winters have approached, every habitant has to be in long boots during winters. The roads will be seen till summer comes back which covers all our link roads for which our movement becomes very difficult.
“Our roads collapsed due to the drainage work started three years back. Neither is the drainage system functional nor the roads have been repaired since then,” he said.
The locals of the area appealed Lieutenant Governor led administration to start the process of Macadamisation in these areas so that their hardships and difficulties will be ended before the commencement of harsh winter.
