Not More than 80 People Participate in BJP’s Grand Rally in Kulgam

The Bhartiya Janta Party in a pre-announced rally could not gather a crowd of more than 80 people in the Kashmir valley.

Eyewitnesses informed The Kashmiriyat that BJP on Saturday had called for a rally in the area wherein, the BJP spokesman, Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, was the key speaker.

Shanawaz Hussain addressing the gathering said that the people of Kashmir love the prime minister, Narendra Modi and the very fact will ensure the victory of the Bhartiya Janta Party in the upcoming polls in the region.

He asked the people of the area to ensure that all the candidates of Bhartiya Janta Party are made victorious in the District development committee Polls said.

Earlier taking a dig at the People’s Alliance for Gupkar declaration Shahnawaz had said that Article 370 has been buried 370 feet deep and cannot be restored.

The Kashmiriyat was informed that the rally had been pre-announced in almost all the major areas of South Kashmir.

A total of 62 candidates are in the fray for phase-II of the upcoming District Development Council (DDC) and by-election of vacant Sarpanch and Panch seats in Kanjiullar and Ramnagri of district Shopian.

These 62 nominations include 11 for DDC, 16 for Sarpanch, and 35 for Panch seats. Among those who withdrew their nominations include 01 DDC, 5 Sarpanch, and 10 Panch candidates while 1 Sarpanch and 7 Panch seats were rejected by the AROs.

The voting for this phase will be held on December 01, 2020, wherever necessary.
