The Kashmir valley on Monday morning witnessed fresh snowfall which forced the closure of the Mughal road for vehicular movement.
“Mughal road is closed due to snowing. Also snowing on Srinagar Leh road,” a Traffic official said on Monday.
The 434-km Srinagar-Leh highway has also been closed for vehicular movement on Monday due to fresh snowfall at Zojila Pass.
Meanwhile, Locals from Banihal said that it has also been snowing at the Jawahar Tunnel but the traffic is through so far.
Many other areas of the Kashmir valley including Sonmarg, Gulmarg and various areas in North Kashmir and down South in Pahalgam parts, Sinthan received fresh snowfall on Monday.
The Plains in Kashmir valley received moderate rainfall.
