The Jammu Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a person along with illicit liquor in the Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district.
As per a Police communique, the Police raided the shop of Mohammad Syed Shah who is a resident of Pamposh Mohalla Bijbehra near Sumo stand Bijbehra and seized a huge quantity of illicit liquor from his possession.
The accused was detained along with 200 Whiskey bottles and 36 Tins Kingfisher Strong Beer (500ml).
A Case FIR 247/2020 U/S 50 Excise Act has been registered in this regard.
