More than 100 people have been killed by gunmen after escalating tensions in Ethiopia’s tiger area.
Giving information about the carnage in the West Benishagul-Gumuz area of Metekel Zone, the Human Rights Commission of Ethiopia has said that more than 100 people have died in this ethnic racial violence in western part of the country on Wednesday.
In the wee hours of Wednesday, gunmen attacked the village of Bekoji in Bulle County and fired at people, Many people fled the village and saved their lives. People of different castes live here.
When this attack was carried out, people were sleeping in their homes, as report by local Media outlets.
They attack when happened a day after Prime Minister Ahmed Neptunian (Abiy Ahmed) had visited the area and promised to punish the perpetrators of recent attacks.
