The Srinagar International Airport is getting a new terminal meant specially for transportation of commodities from the Kashmir valley.
The Airport authority has said that this new terminal will be equipped with modern technology which wil also have storage rooms equipped with modern technology for food items including fruits, vegetables and mutton. The construction of this terminal will be completed by the end of next year.
The existential terminal meant for such services at the Srinagar airport as per officials has a capacity of five metric tons and as many as six airline cargo planes operate from here.
As per reports, the new terminal being built will be twice the capacity as the current one and will have special preservance material for the goods in the summer season to protect their from spoilage.
The construction of this new terminal will be completed by the end of next year.
