The Jammu Kashmir Police said that it arrested two notorious drug peddlers in Awntipora and also seized cash worth 50,000 rupees from the duo along with contraband substance.
In a press release, the Police said that acting tough against the drug dealings, Police in Awantipora have arrested two notorious drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession, besides, cash amount of ₹50,000 was also seized.
They said that officers at a checkpoint established at Reshipora Bunpora near irrigation gauge intercepted a vehicle Santro bearing registration No. JK03B-9591 with two persons on board. They have been identified as Gulazar Ahmad Ganie resident of Braw Bandina and Bilal Ahamd Bhat resident of Kulpora Lassipora Pulwama.
During checking, officers were able to recover 2.20 kgs of Charas from their possession. Officers have also seized a cash amount of ₹50,000 from them. They have been arrested and shifted to the police station where they remain in custody. The vehicle used in the commission of the crime has also been seized.
