Amid the heavy snow that has covered the Kashmir valley in a white blanket, The Kashmiriyat is running ground reports of the problems the residents throughout various parts of Kashmir are facing.
Similarly, The Kashmiriyat ran stories on the slow snow-clearance operations in the Anantnag district, after which the administration swung into action and started swift snow-clearance in areas of the district including the main town of Islamabad (Anantnag) on Wednesday.
The snow clearance operations are being conducted by the Municipal Corporation Anantnag under the constant supervision of the Assistant Revenue Commissioner (ACR) Syed Yasir and Tehsildar Anantnag Abdul Wasi Deva.
Earlier the officials on Wednesday morning along with their team inspected the roads throughout Anantnag town to take stock of the entire situation, after which massive snow-clearance operations were started in the townships and various other areas of the district.
The Operations are still going on in the night hours and most of the localities in the township have been cleared off the snow.
The Locals of various areas thanked the officials for clearing the snow in their respective localities.
