No Fresh Covid Cases in Last 24 Hours in 8 Districts of Jammu Kashmir

For the first time since the outbreak COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir, no fresh cases have been detected in the eight districts across the Union Territory while three new deaths and 127 fresh cases reported from the rest of the districts on Thursday.

Moreover, following the declining trend in the cases of the deadly infection, the administration has identified at least 18 hospitals and health centers to de-notify them from the category of COVID designated hospitals.

Out of the 8 districts, 4 each belongs to Kashmir and Jammu regions. The data reveals that in Jammu region, the districts including Ramban, Poonch, Reasi and Kishtwar have not reported new cases of infection.

Similarly, in the Kashmir region, the districts including Budgam, Anantnag, Bandipora and Kulgam have not detected any new case of the infection.

Moreover, following the declining trend in COVID cases, the government of Jammu and Kashmir is likely to de-notify eighteen COVID-18 designated health facilities across the region

This was disclosed in an officers meeting held on de-notifying COVID-19 dedicated hospitals in J&K. The meeting was chaired by Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education, Atal Dulloo.

Among three fresh fatalities, two were reported from Kashmir region while one from Jammu region, The deceased include one each from Srinagar and Ganderbal in Kashmir region and one from Jammu district in Jammu division.

Out of 127 new cases, 21 belong to Kashmir division while as 106 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 71,614 including 69,141 recoveries and 1,196 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 50,562 including 48,736 recoveries and 707 deaths.

As per the daily information bulletin, 931,185 persons in Jammu Kashmir are under observation while 28,062 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 2,396 persons are in isolation.
