Young Pacer from Bijbehara Kashmir Called for trials by Mumbai Indians

A 19 – year – old left arm pacer, Mujtaba Yousuf from Kashmir has been called up for trials by Indian Premier League (IPL) side Mumbai Indian, after witnessing his impressive performance for JK T20 team in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament,

Hailing from a Bijbehara town of South Kashmir, Mujtaba played well in JK tournament and took five wickets in four matches. Apart from taking wickets, he was sensational and bowled spells during JK’s campaign in the tournament.

Sources said that during Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament scouts of various IPL teams were witnessing the matches in Benguluru.

Mujtaba was called for trials by Mumbai Indians, after the decision makers were impressed with his bowling skills. Initially in the tournament, Mujtaba was not included in JK playing – XI, but after being included, he bowled brilliantly.

Mujtaba was also a part of Kolkata Knight Riders for IPL as net bowler and in UAE for the IPL tournament. He has previously been part of India junior camps and made his senior debut for JK last season.
